Whether you want to know where your kid is or whether you want your kid to move a little, children's smartwatches and bracelets can be a great help. Maybe your little one wants to go with the trend and own more smart devices just like classmates in kindergarten or school. And the fact that you don't want to spend hours choosing the right one? Understandable! That's why we have selected the best children's smartwatches for you. Let's get to it.
Personally, I think the Lamax Watch Y2 is definitely the best piece for patrolling your offspring. For a very nice price, you can see where your child is. However, you need to have a SIM card is to operate the watch, which you can obtain from any operator. But a simple credit is not enough, you also need mobile data. The Lamax brand includes a T-Mobile SIM card in the package. Great, huh?
The SIM card takes care of your child's location and allows the youth to make calls or send voice messages.
For me, one of the best features is the ability to set zones. You can set up an unlimited number of zones – school, extracurriculars, grandmother's house, etc. The phone alerts you when the child enters one of the zones. The same thing happens when they leave a zone. If it was a reality TV show, I'd call it Big Mother.
For situations the child finds themselves in danger, the watch is equipped with a special SOS button.
The other side of the Moon is the size of this watch and the battery life. Thanks to the presence of the SIM card, they are quite large. But in the competition, they are still among the smaller ones. The battery life reaches 2-3 days due to constant location sharing.
A close second is the TCL Movetime MT40, which is functionally quite similar to the Lamax I talked about. It offers location tracking, zones, phone calls, or voice and text messages. But unlike Lamax, the watch also has a camera that allows the child to take selfies and make video calls. Then you can fire questions at your child like "Are you already on your way home from school? Let's have a video call and see!"
And why do I think TCL Movetime is in this imaginary ranking behind Lamax WatchY2? For a simple reason – it is not as water-resistant. The TCL can withstand splatters, but Lamax can withstand short dives underwater, which I consider crucial for children's smartwatches.
I don't have a solid number one in this category, but I'd consider the Carneo Tik&Tok and the Garmin Vívofit junior 3 to be the best. The Tik&Tok is more equipped, but you don't have to recharge the Vívofit junior 3 because it can last for a year on a classic battery. Everything has its pros and cons.
First, let's introduce the Carneo Tik&Tok. This model is definitely great for a slightly older child (8+) who already has their own phone. They can pair the watch with the phone, receive notifications from the phone, and respond with quick answers.
It is also adapted for movement, so it is light, thin, and lasts up to 5 days. During the day it counts the steps, calories, you can start monitoring sports (running, cycling, hiking, etc.), and at night it monitors sleep. Amazingly, it also measures heart rate and stress levels all day long.
I consider it a big plus that there is a black strap in the package. So if the child doesn't like the color one, they can reach for the black classic.
A category itself is the Garmin Vívojit junior 3. This model is actually quite basic – it calculates steps, calories burned and monitors sleep and... It lasts a year! There is a classic coin cell battery (CR2032) as in a classic watch. A lot of smart devices are a ball and chain of parents – they have to plug the watch into the charger almost every day. But that has nothing to do with the Garmin Vívofit junior 3.
I really like the system of chores and rewards that we find in the watch. Parents can set chores for their children, and the child can earn virtual money for their performance, which can be then used at their own choice.
For example, your boy can get 2 coins for cleaning his room, and he can buy a visit to the toy store for 10 coins. Or chocolate for 4 coins. And it is up to the child if they want to save the coins or spend them right away. In this great way, you teach children discipline and financial literacy. Two probably most important things for the future.
The Xiaomi Mi Band series is also a separate category. You may think that it is not completely suitable for children, because it is also for adults. Not at all. Xiaomi Mi Band is absolutely simple, and I would recommend it for any child (and adult) over 8 years. But if your child has a really slim wrist, try the bracelet on so you know it fits.
The best piece now is the sixth generation, which is even sold in the NFC version. So if you have confidence in your child, they can use the bracelet for contactless payment.

Xiaomi Mi Smart Band 6 review – What else can be improved?
The child can connect the bracelet to the phone and see all notifications displayed. During the day, it measures heart rate, and the sixth generation can also measure blood oxygenation. The 14-day battery life is also exceptional. Compared to other devices in the selection, the biggest plus is probably its size. It can hide under the sleeve, and the child does not even notice it during the day.
