February’s big anniversary? Tudor turns 100

A hundred years ago, in February 1926, Tudor was established at the behest of Hans Wilsdorf, the founder of Rolex, to offer reliable watches with Rolex-level quality at a more accessible price.

The brand’s revival came in 2012 with the Black Bay collection and today—helped by its ties to F1—it’s among the most talked-about names. Let’s see what anniversary models Tudor unveils this year...

Orient Bambino for the first time without a date window

Among the biggest news is the new Bambino. Why? Not only has the size changed, but this is the first version of these dress legends that’s without a date window.

It may be a small tweak, but many will appreciate it. Orient introduced more novelties, including the amazingly executed colorful Stretto limited edition. Find the full rundown in our article:

Orient Star debuts a new Small Seconds model

Orient Star has been busy, too. And the spring/summer collection is well worth a look—not only new colors and materials (a meteorite dial), but also a new small-seconds model.

With excellent specs and a beautiful design, it ranks among the most compelling dress watches in its class.

MeisterSinger brings a stylish Jumping Hour complication

A digital time display paired with a mechanical movement is a unique—and fairly rare—complication. It now appears again after a longer hiatus at Germany’s MeisterSinger, a brand focused on single-hand watches.

Combine those two concepts—jumping hours and a single hand—and you get something special. All the more so in a limited edition for the brand’s 25th anniversary.

Junghans enters the dive-watch game

The German brand Junghans likely needs no introduction. But—for the first time it has launched a true diver, and they really pulled out all the stops. Meet a historic milestone for the brand: Junghans Aquaris.

A full 500 m of water resistance, an internal rotating bezel, stylish and bold colors, a sapphire crystal with double anti-reflective coating, Super-LumiNova Grade X1 and... the automatic J830 movement built on the architecture of the Grand Seiko 9S. On top of that, this is a substantial watch at 46.9 mm in diameter and 14.5 mm thick.

There’s also a dive extension, plus a spare rubber strap right in the box—and the finishing? It looks impeccable!

Citizen Shore, aka the diver‑style Tsuyosa

Tsuyosa is already a byword in the watch world. In just a few years on the market it has carved out a strong position and spawned several iterations. Now Citizen has unveiled the sportiest variant yet, the Tsuyosa Shore.

You still get the familiar Tsuyosa cues (integrated bracelet, sapphire, automatic movement), now joined by a rotating minute bezel that pushes it further into sporty territory. It’s not a full-on diver, but water resistance is 100 m.

Breitling and Aston Martin team up for the first time

In February 2026, Breitling became the official watch partner of the Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team. And naturally, the collaboration has yielded a watch.

A 43 mm titanium case, a carbon dial, team colors, and an unabashed F1 connection. In other words: if you know, you know.

A new level of C.O.S.C. precision? Yes and no

The chronometer-accuracy certificate issued by the Swiss institute C.O.S.C. will add a higher tier: Excellence Chronometer.

A movement that has earned standard C.O.S.C. certification can be sent back by the manufacturer, already cased, for further testing. This will take 5 days and include a robotic 24-hour wrist-wear simulation, followed by rate testing in which the average daily rate must remain between −2 and +4 seconds per day. The watch will also be tested for anti-magnetism (200 gauss) and finally the stated power reserve will be verified.

Going forward, entire watches will be tested, not just the movement. They must meet even tighter accuracy and improved magnetic resistance.

Going forward, entire watches will be tested, not just the movement. They must meet even tighter accuracy and improved magnetic resistance.

How will it work in practice? We’ll see. Pilot testing should begin now, with an official launch slated for October. Like the standard chronometer certification, this higher level will be voluntary. More information on the COSC website.
